Armchairs
Many 20th-century designers rose to prominence through their armchairs. When a name is mentioned, it is often the chair—its form and silhouette—that comes to mind, rather than the designer’s face.You may discover iconic pieces here: the famous Lounge Chair by Charles and Ray Eames, the RZ62 by Dieter Rams, the PK22 by Poul Kjærholm, or the ARI by Arne Norell.These ingenious designs feature materials that were considered modern at the time, such as fiberglass, alongside the use of precious woods like Rio rosewood, expertly crafted by highly skilled Danish cabinetmakers.
