Georges Frydman Shelving Unit, EFA Edition
Modular walnut bookcase from the 1960s by designer Georges Frydman, published by EFA.
Georges Frydman won the René Gabriel Prize in 1966.
Three-tier set. Rarely seen in this low height (170 cm). First version with uprights extending above the top tier and side panels secured with brass hardware.
The metal structure is gray steel.
The French Midcentury “Wall Unit”.
EFA stamp on all metal uprights
Original light yellow lacquered back panels, and white/beige panels.
Walnut veneer back panels.
Walnut sliding doors and glass sliding doors (not shown in the photo but available for the middle storage section with walnut back panels).
The upper section features sliding doors with a lovely white/gray woven fabric covering.
All doors and drawers are removable, allowing for multiple configurations. (See photos)

1 walnut shelf, 1 narrow removable shelf (not shown in the photo) in the middle section on the left.
Very good vintage condition. Age-related patina. Restored doors: eco-label stain and varnish.
