Poul Cadovius Royal System 60’s Bookcase

Modular Danish bookshelf from the 1960s, made of teak, by Poul Cadovius (Royal System). A classic example of the Danish “wall unit.”

Here is the version with its original black legs and its rare “drop-leaf” dining table or desk with a folding extension leaf.

The shelves and drawers are then inserted into these using the tool-free “Royal System” mounting system: curved black steel rod hooks.

The unit with the drop-down door features genuine teak strip weaving (first series from 1958) and includes a removable center shelf.

Beautiful craftsmanship with its fine woodworking details.

Numerous assembly configurations with all modular components.

The set is in very good vintage condition. There are minor signs of wear on the shelves. The table and its extension leaf, as well as the tops of the lower units, have been restored to their original color using an eco-label varnish.

Fristho chairs are sold separately.
