George NELSON (1908-1986) Walnut Desk

Model “EOG” (Executive Office Group) for Herman Miller USA.
Designed in 1949. Produced from 1949 to 1977.

This desk features a walnut top with an overhang.
It is supported by a two-drawer pedestal with aluminum handles:

-a small drawer with a black plastic sliding sorter

-a large file drawer

The lock is present, but the keys are missing.

The Herman Miller label is affixed under the top, in the storage niche.
The round tubular chrome-plated steel base has an H-shaped architecture with its inclined reinforcement bar. The leg caps are adjustable for optimal stability.

Restored (varnish).

A few anecdotal signs of age.

The ensemble is in very good general vintage condition.
