Danish Daybed, Model FD 451, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France and Søn in 1956.
Recently reupholstered in an ecru bouclé fabric from the Alma range by Casamance. The original mattress and spring cushions have been fully restored.
For enhanced comfort, high-resilience foam and wadding have been added—preserving the original character while improving it. The mattress and cushions have removable covers with zippers and are machine washable at 30°.
Stamped with the manufacturer’s badges. Solid teak frame and cane work in very good condition.
Ingenious conversion system: the armrests can be adjusted using a brass button that releases a sliding bar, allowing the piece to transform into a daybed or occasional bed. Overall in excellent vintage condition.
