FD 451 daybed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen, bouclé fabric
Danish Daybed, Model FD 451, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France and Søn in 1956.
Complete upholstery restoration carried out to the highest standards by our professional partner specializing in 20th-century furniture. The mattress and cushions have been restored to their original condition.
To ensure greater comfort, HR foam and wadding have been added: preserving the original while enhancing it.
This FD 451 model is therefore unique with its new powder-white bouclé upholstery from the French brand Casamance.
Stamped with the manufacturer’s insignia. Solid teak frame and cane work in very good condition. Ingenious conversion system: the armrests tilt using a brass knob that releases a sliding bar. This allows for a daybed or a guest bed. Overall in excellent vintage condition.
