CERAMICS
The Ölddesign Gallery invites you to discover a ceramic artist from the younger generation: Philipe Spé. A prolific artist, the originality, richness, and intensity of his unique creations have earned him a prominent place in the art world today.
Philippe Spé works across a wide range of expressive fields. Emerging from a graffiti background, he developed early on a strong graphic and painterly language that challenges traditional artistic norms.
As a self-taught artist, he approaches his mediums with complete freedom, exploring their specificities to create works of remarkable complexity.
In recent years, his practice of ceramics has extended his graphic work, allowing his forms to fully express themselves through material and volume.
Philippe Spé was born in 1983 in the Lyon region and currently lives and works in Saintes, France.
