Poul Cadovius Royal System Teak Wall Unit

Created in the late 1940s by Poul Cadovius, the Royal System wall unit is now regarded as one of the most iconic creations of 20th-century Scandinavian design. Visionary in his approach to wall-mounted furniture, Cadovius developed a revolutionary suspended modular system designed to free up floor space and bring a greater sense of lightness to modern interiors.

This Royal System composition perfectly illustrates the minimalist elegance of 1950s Danish design. Crafted in teak, it combines wall-mounted rails, shelves, and storage elements in a subtle balance between functionality and clean architectural lines.

The modular system offers endless configuration possibilities while maintaining a refined and highly architectural aesthetic. This well-equipped composition features a beautiful original patina and remains in very good vintage condition.
The tops of the cabinets have been restored with an eco-label varnish.

The shelves and cabinets are then inserted at the desired height into the uprights using the “Royal System” tool-free fixing system: curved brass rod hooks.
