Pair of Otto Zapf armchairs for Knoll International in cognac leather. Heli model released in 1981.

Here, Otto Zapf revisits the brown leather Club armchair with a postmodern design approach. The form and contrasting leg styles clearly place the piece in 1981. The designer introduces an asymmetrical base: a wooden beam for the front legs and a pair of curved tubular steel loops at the rear.

Stamped with the Knoll International mark under the seats, cushions, and the armchair frame. Very comfortable with its generous shape and cushion.

The price is for the pair.

Overall, these armchairs present well. The leather is still very supple; however, it is scratched in several places (see photos), which does not detract from the charm of these chairs.
