Kai Kristiansen wall-mounted bookcase in rosewood, FM Furniture edition

Kai Kristiansen Bookcase in Rio Rosewood, FM Furniture Edition

Large modular Danish bookcase by designer Kai Kristiansen in rosewood, FM Furniture Edition. Circa 1960.

Many components are stamped with the FM Furniture label, made in Denmark.

This exquisite set exudes luxury, consisting of 5 cabinets and 9 shelves shaped like airplane wings that attach tool-free to teak-veneered metal uprights. This bookcase is imposing in size yet understated in its slender, elegant design.

It offers numerous features thanks to its luxurious fittings for the era, including shelves, a magazine rack, two book blocks, a desk shelf with a discreet slot for computer cables, a drawer unit, two shelves that can serve as lamps since they have lampshades (lamps not included), the drawer unit, the hi-fi unit with storage for vinyl records and cassettes, and the bar unit with a lamp that turns on when the upper flap door is opened (lamp with plug included).

You can split it into two separate bookcases if you wish. (One two-column bookcase and one single-column bookcase)
