Georges Frydman Bookcase, EFA edition, in walnut
First edition of Georges Frydman’s modular bookcases, produced by EFA in the 1950s.
Georges Frydman won the René Gabriel Prize in 1966.
The bookcase consists of two parts. The metal frame is made of black steel. It comprises several units: hinged doors in white laminate with brass handles, sliding glass doors, and a bar cabinet or secretary desk unit depending on the configuration, featuring an interior hinged door in red laminate with an original layout and an open module with a white back panel.
Terracotta-lacquered backs.
Very good vintage condition. Restored set: stained and varnished. White laminate on the doors is new and restored: like new. Small pot on the top of one of the units (see photos).
The photos show the bookcase with 4 shelves, but it will be delivered with 6 shelves.
