“Flight High” Lounge Chair for Nelo Sweden
Lounge chair in bent wood and white leather by designers Takashi Okamura and Erik Marquardsen, Nelo Sweden edition. Distinctive 1980s design.
Stamped with the publisher’s plate on the frame.
Structure in thick curved black plywood with a stretched canvas like a hammock on which a white leather seat is attached. This makes the position very comfortable.
Some signs of time and use on the original leather with minor scratches.
Good overall vintage condition.
The base axis of the chair swivels 360°.
This designer duo Takashi Okamura and Erik Marquardsen founded their Design O & M studio in the 1970s and were very active in the 1980s. They collaborated with several furniture brands such as Nelo in Sweden and Getama in Denmark.
