The 606 Universal Shelving System is truly timeless. Its discreet and adaptable design integrates and harmonizes perfectly with all types of interiors, old or modern.

The shelving unit was offered in white or black satin laminate. Each element—shelf or module—is screwed to aluminum plates that hold the entire system together. The elements are then placed on the rails by inserting small aluminum cylinders by hand, no tools required.

Everything is modular and height-adjustable.

The rails are stamped with the Vitsoe manufacturer’s mark.

The unit is in very good vintage condition. Some elements show patina consistent with the age of the shelving unit, such as signs of wear on the edges of the elements.

This unit consists of:

• 3 modules with sliding doors fitted with aluminum handles and one module with an upward-opening drop-down door.
• 7 shelves
• 4 aluminum E track rails of 171 cm for wall mounting

The manufacturer’s booklet will be provided with assembly instructions and plans, along with new original wall plugs (for concrete wall mounting) and screws. To facilitate assembly, a board cut to the dimensions of the spacing between the rails will be provided—you simply need to place the level on it.

Dieter Rams is now 93 years old. He designed extensively for the hi-fi brand Braun: amplifiers, tuners, TVs, radios, turntables… He created hi-fi systems that have become cult objects, highly sought after by music lovers and design enthusiasts, such as the wall-mounted Hi-Fi system Wandanlage. He clearly revolutionized industrial design in the 1960s-70s and influenced generations of designers. The iPhone was strongly inspired by his work.

He also produced other furniture for the Vitsoe brand: sofas and armchairs such as the RZ 62 model, which we have previously sold.
