Floating Horst Brüning long sideboard model 1730, Behr. 1960’s

Long Sideboard Horst Brüning, Behr edition

Large 1960s floating sideboard by German industrial designer and architect Horst Brüning for Behr.
This sideboard fully embodies the minimalist movement of those years, much like Dieter Rams or Dieter Waeckerlin.

This version of Model 1730 is rare in two aspects: its precious wood essence, Rio rosewood, and its great length (3.10 m).

It is designed with Rio rosewood panels and a white laminate interior. The 3 sliding doors are aluminum with discreet handles of the same material.

Highly functional interior layout with removable shelves and a chest section with 4 drawers.

This sideboard is originally wall-mounted (wall board); it features a rear support that allows it to be inserted onto the cleat fixed to the wall (this is provided).

The entire piece is strictly original.

Very good vintage condition. Some discreet marks that give it a beautiful patina.
